One person, too many tasks
When Raquel joined Venn Telecom, she had a big task: growing the company’s content marketing to support international expansion and handling localisation for new markets. The problem? She was the entire marketing team and only had two hands.
The main problem I had as a marketeer in a very small team was time. I was working alone when I started looking for a platform like Contentoo. Now, I have someone working with me internally, but at the time, I needed support to organise and manage everything. Content wasn’t my only responsibility—I also managed events and other tasks, making it difficult to focus on content production and localisation.
Freelance platforms like Upwork could connect her with writers, but that wasn’t enough. The quality was inconsistent, and managing freelancers took up too much time, sometimes up to 8 hours a week, to source, vet, and brief writers.
She didn’t just need people to write but someone to handle the process, ensure the content was good, and take the work off her plate.
That’s when she found Contentoo.

Venn Telecom wanted content that would help it break into new markets. Simply translating their existing materials was not enough: their content needed to resonate locally, direct translations wouldn’t account for cultural nuances, tone, or market-specific terminology.

They needed content that connected with local audiences and cultural nuances.
I didn’t want a platform like Upwork where you just find freelancers. I needed something more structured.
Managing that internally simply wasn’t an option. It would have meant juggling multiple freelancers, checking every piece of content for consistency, and overseeing a complicated workflow while still doing the rest of her job.
For me, resources always mean time, talent, and money. If you don’t have one of them, you have a problem. And time was the most important resource we were missing.
Raquel needed a partner who could handle everything from writing to localisation without constant supervision.
Finding the perfect match
While exploring different options, Raquel came across Contentoo at an industry event in Belgium.
I was benchmarking different platforms at the time and looking for a solution that could truly take content production off my plate. I had a great conversation with someone from Contentoo, and we quickly connected over the challenges of finding high-quality content talent.
But what really stood out was the depth of industry expertise. One of her biggest struggles was finding writers who understood Telecom, an industry with its own language, challenges, and technical details.
Beyond having the niche and industry experience, Contentoo’s managed service model sealed the deal.

Growing into new markets
The first goal was to establish Venn Telecom’s presence in Brazil, which meant creating content in Portuguese.
Brazil was our first priority, and we knew we needed Portuguese content. We also had upcoming plans for Germany, so localisation was essential.
Rather than simply translating existing content, Contentoo helped adapt messaging so it felt natural to local audiences. The results were noticeable.
We saw a notable increase in website traffic from Brazil after launching Portuguese content. It’s hard to attribute causation directly, but there was definitely a correlation. We also launched a LinkedIn page for Brazil, and engagement there increased significantly.
Encouraged by these results, Venn Telecom expanded content efforts to German and French.
It’s always challenging to create content in multiple languages while maintaining the same tone and message. Contentoo helped us do that seamlessly.
Before Contentoo, localisation was slow and inconsistent because different departments had to be involved. With a single point of contact, Venn can publish up to 4x the volume without friction.
More than a vendor
What really made Contentoo different was the ongoing support.
Lara, our client success manager, has been so helpful. This year, we got a new CFO who wanted to cut budgets, but she was fantastic. She even facilitated conversations between Contentoo’s CEO and our CFO to find a way forward, allowing us to arrange things for a few months and then restart with a new contract. That was incredibly helpful.
Managing freelancers individually is time-consuming. You have to find them, assign work, approve drafts, chase deadlines, and deal with invoices. Contentoo handled all of that.
Before Contentoo, I had to manage individual freelancers, handle invoicing, and chase deadlines. Now, Contentoo handles all of that. It’s a massive time-saver and allows me to focus on high-impact projects.
Instead of spending hours keeping content production on track, Raquel could focus on bigger-picture marketing efforts.
The biggest takeaway
The big thing is efficiency. You can be more efficient, and human support is very valuable. They listen to you, understand what you need, and find the right solution, not just a blanket recommendation, but something that truly fits your company.
Venn Telecom didn’t just need content or a quick fix. They needed a brand new content creation process that worked. Contentoo provided that, allowing them to build their brand across multiple markets without adding stress to an already busy team.
Now that the localisation process is running smoothly, Venn Telecom is shifting focus to SEO-driven content.
2025 will be all about scaling content for SEO and continuing localisation efforts. My goal is to publish at least three blogs per month to drive organic traffic and improve brand visibility in new markets, and Contentoo will be instrumental in helping us achieve that.
With Contentoo’s support, they plan to build a stronger online presence in multiple countries.
Expanding internationally is hard. Creating content for multiple markets while maintaining quality and consistency is even more challenging.
But with the right partner, it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the proper support, even a small team can create high-quality, localised content that connects with audiences worldwide.
